I've always said that most great photographs are being in the right place at the right time. The rest is just picture taking.

Somehow, the world's best always seem to be there when the shot of a lifetime presents itself. I'm usually ten minutes late.

6. I completely read the title as if you'd seen a glowing orange.

I call it "Cloud Wars" because it looks more like a battle scene from a video game than a sunset. It even has laser beams and explosions!

But slightly sad. Most of the red tint we see during sunset is caused by an excess of pollutants held in the atmosphere. Very pretty, but it's part of climate change. Sunsets over populated areas are redder than over isolated areas, and redder than they were a century ago.

I'm such a Debbie Downer. It's a gorgeous view.

Want to hear a neat tidbit?

A lunar eclipse is orange because the light is from every sunrise and sunset in the world.

If you are in the right spot in space within Earth's shadow our planet looks like a black circle with a reddish orange ring around it.
