Joy Behar Reportedly Threatens to Quit View After Clash With Entitled Meghan McCain: Get This B*tch Under Control! What was meant to be a heartwarming tribute to President George H. W. Bush on The View Monday ended in an ugly shouting match between Meghan McCain and Joy Behar after the discussion at the table turned political. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg was forced to cut to commercial break after viewers saw the two hosts go at it during a heated exchange - which later escalated off air.
The episode kicked off with a Hot Topics segment intended to honor the late 41st president, who died on Friday, with the co-hosts taking turns to speak on his legacy. But just a few minutes in, the conversation went south when Behar threw Trump's name into the mix while commending Bush's support for environmental issues.
'This president that we have now is trying to unravel everything that he did and Obama did ...' she said before being interrupted.
'Can we focus on the president, please. I don't want to talk about Trump, we're honoring a great president,' McCain interjected.
Behar shot back: 'Excuse me a second, please. I want to talk about - '
before McCain cut her off again saying: '... I'm not interested in your one-issue voting.'
Behar fired back: 'I don't care what you're interested in. I'm talking!'
McCain countered: 'Well I don't care what you're interested in either, Joy!' before Whoopi quickly called for a commercial break.
Behar was then seen slamming her cue cards on the table and turning to sound off on McCain just as producers cut to break. Producers muted Behar's microphone so that her expletives would not be heard on air.
But the source said that Behar threw her hands in the air, yelled 'My God!' and 'Get this b***h under control. If this s**t doesn't stop I'm quitting this damn show. I can't take this much more,' Behar allegedly fumed.

Saw her speak years ago and was overwhelmingly, underwhelmed.

(38,958 posts)however, I do not watch the show. I have seen Behar speak as mentioned, she was totally unprepared for the event and came off as such. McCain I have seen on TV and she is pretty much the south end of a north bound horse.

(26,288 posts)I didn't watch the Scalise interview because I had to fill the bird feeders. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. So, I have no idea how that whole thing went, except I saw Joy wasn't on the panel.
But I did notice Meghan got kind of mumbly-snarky with Whoopi. I think over Whoopi replacing the phrase 'smoking gun' with 'smoking flute'. She probably didn't want to say the word 'gun' for fear of setting off another patented Meghan melt down over being 'targeted' for being a gun owner.
I wish she'd move on to better things like putting her art history degree to use as a guide in a museum, somewhere.

McCain always turns to the audience and says,
sternly:
"I am a proud member of the NRA".

(26,288 posts)She's always looking to the audience for affirmation of one sort, or another. And, it's hilarious to watch her face when they don't give her what she expects.

Make no mistake, that had nothing to do with honoring Bush and everything to do with protecting Trump. Conservatives project an image of rugged individualism, but in reality, they're as they're as servile as it gets. Slaves to the GOP. The perfect goose-steppers for a wannabe dictator like Trump.

(8,445 posts)There are days I quit watching because she's so rude. I saw this exchange. Meghan acted like a petulant child.
In today's show, everyone came on stage and smiled at the audience while Whoopi said her customary "Welcome to View". Everyone, that is, except Meghan. It looked like she was going over her cue cards to see what she could pout and complain about. I didn't think anyone could be worse than Hasselbeck, but I was wrong.

(6,139 posts)and bring more humility in her but its all a show to her, a bunch of talking points she constantly sticks to and its so annoying; Behar voices her own thoughts not mindless talking points.
