It takes place in a world with four main Kingdoms: Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. The Fire Kingdom is technologically advanced, and decides taking over the other Kingdoms will be the best thing for everyone. The first three seasons take place 100 years after the war started.

The show has fantastic character development. Even the villains are often well developed and humanized, and change in different ways throughout the seasons. You can understand why the villains act the way the do. Only a few people are flat. The show has both light-hearted comedy and some darker situations.

It's on Netflix, if you have that.

I found this website which has episodes on it. http://www.digavatar.com/avatar-tv-chapter-1-the-boy-in-the-iceberg.html

Do not see the movie. It's just a crappy, flat summery of the show.

From the first three seasons...

They're so fun. They get better and better.

The new ones take place 70 years latter, and should be avoided for now if you don't want major spoilers.
