The producers told contestants to do that because it's more interesting to the audience. If they only told of their present circumstances, most would have to say, "Well, I live in L.A."

Contestants were likewise told that if they consider themselves actors, they should say their occupation is whatever they're doing right now to support themselves. L.A., after all, is full of aspiring actors, and many of them audition for game shows. But hearing, "I'm an actor living in L.A." over and over again would be very uninteresting to the audience.

We finished in a virtual three-way tie. Only one of us knew the question to the Final Jeopardy answer, though, and it wasn't me.

In both games, I pretty much bet the farm each time I hit a Daily Double - and scored! One of those was just a lucky guess.

You will find a couple of other DUers who were on Jeopardy.

My family loved being in the audience for the show.

I gave my current home (where I still live today), rather than my birthplace. It never occurred to me that someone would prefer to state one place over another as their 'From:'
