had it.
In 1983, Griffith was stricken with Guillain-Barre syndrome, but he recovered after rehabilitation. In 1986, he produced and starred in the very successful television series Matlock (1986).

I had it in 1978

Just 5 months later Joseph Heller contracted it and was on the cover of people magazine.

was on a TV show and I took my sibling's word for it. I was another continent away when it struck my sibling and heard things many months after the fact.

I am sorry for any misgivings I may have caused.

I was a part of The Lost Colony cast for a few years and I met him a few times. (He just lived down the road after all!) The one visit I made to his house was the best one. He was putting in a new floor in his living room and he took a break when we showed up. I did help hold one board for him, though. Then, we all sat on his porch for a bit. It was a wonderful time. He was amazing and always supportive of actors and singers. He would always visit the show although he was not able to see my first year due to doing 'Matlock'. Of course, the premiere of season four was done in Manteo, and it is sprinkled with many friends of mine. He was a class act and a real patron. He is missed to this day.

Okay, I know what you meant. The old fishing hole shows up in the final episode of "The Rifleman."
