interesting show so far. I like the lead and his complications.
Anyone else watching? What do you think?

(321 posts)That it's a cross between Dresden files (crime fighting) and 90210 (vapid pretty people) with just a smidge of a self absorbed soap opera thrown in.
Just my opinion you understand.....
Still Blue in PDX
(1,999 posts)I watched a number of episodes of Arrow before I figured out that I just don't like it, even with the potential of seeing John Barrowman as a villain. When I discovered that he was the father of one of the main characters it dawned on me that I am not the demographic that the creators of Arrow are shooting at. It was with a heavy heart that I deleted it from my list of programs to record, because I really did love my comic book crime fighters.

Behind the Aegis
(53,961 posts)I do like the references made. It cracks me up and I often have to explain them to my partner. My favorite was Dinah "Laurel" Lance's comment about a Halloween costume and talked about the tacky fishnet stockings!

(321 posts)It was like a low budget sci-fi channel show and seemed like they weren't really committed to. It could have been great had AMC or TNT been behind it.
I was a fan of GA comics (amongst others) when I was a kid, and this is just not "true to form". Like I said, it seems like they are trying to make a watered down "pretty actors" version of a cool comic character. Not really any grit like with the later BM movies.
Oh well... if you like it then please enjoy. Seacrest out. lol

(2,933 posts)It's one of the two shows on CW that I watch, the other being The Vampire Diaries. As far as I can tell the problem with CW is that grownups aren't really their demographic, although I'm sure they're happy to have us sit through all their commercials. The shows have reasonably interesting concepts and some insanely beautiful actors, but the scripts are written at the young adult (YA) level. Even that could be okay, if you've ever read John Green you know what I mean. Unfortunately, they seem to favor the easier to write soap scripts.

(30,745 posts)escapism. It is eye candy, and it doesn't really seem to be going anywhere. I watch it for mindless fun. If it goes away, I won't miss it. I will enjoy it while I can.

(59,305 posts)and it seemed pretty decent, although they are playing around a lot with his creation story, the first shock for me was that Oliver's mother was still alive.
