Wow. I didn't see that coming. Was that ever a well-crafted episode and an excellent series.

(21,761 posts)I almost stopped after the first episode, I thought it was very so-so but... It really does pick up after that and has been pretty amazing. I can't wait to see how it ends. Good stuff

(17,055 posts)I had it on dvr and just watched it. It was/is a excellent series. Wonder if they will have a second season? Seems to me like they could have plenty of stories to tell in the town of Broadchurch. Fingers crossed!

Alec Hardy does not die, and metamorphose into Matt Smith.

(72,381 posts)Miller confronted Susan saying, "How could you not know what was going on in your own house?!"
I knew then what was going on. I wish they had left that bit of foreshadowing out, but I suppose they felt the ending would have seemed like it was coming from too far out in left field without it.

(53,041 posts)It was only the very last scene of the program when that parallel struck me. I found it quite powerful.

(1,945 posts)I was away from home and just caught up with the finale. That was impressive. I did not catch the foreshadowing comment when it was said, but how heartbreaking it turned out to be.
At the very end there was a statement that said something to the effect of "Broadchurch more to come" or something like that. Does anyone know what it was/meant? I can't find anything online about a second season but that could be great. Could Miller be 'forgiven' by the town and able to keep her job? It might be too unbelievable if there were many more murders in that small town. But I am sure I would watch. Well done!

(34 posts)I loved this, I thought the ending, with all the beacons, was really emotional.
There is a second series being made, I read an article about it where they said they weren't sure if it would even have nay of the same characters. Another murder would be a bit unbelievable but i wondered if they'd go back to the case he kept referring to.
