(6,251 posts)I hated Breathless. I watched the first episode, but the people were so unlikeable. There was no one pleasant enough to root for!
Did it get any more likeable in the rest of the episodes? I read that the BBC (or was it ITV) declined to create a second season.

(29,673 posts)I did watch it anyway, had the three episodes DVR'd and watched them back to back. Felt terrible how it ended..... sad really, very sad indeed. But the English aren't so cuddly with a gooey ending. But it was good for what all happened in the episodes, and you were right, not warm and fuzzy any of them.

(15,805 posts)and "Breathless" reminds me of "Mad Men"with a dash of old time soap opera like "General Hospital". Give me a period melodrama and I'm happy. I also like "The Knick", another new costume series on early medical practices with a dark twist.
