(29,149 posts)Still good, overall, and at times better than season one, but not quite as steady.
I was pretty impressed that (spoiler alert) in the first season they killed off (a) a character portrayed by Sam Shepard and (b) the most charismatic and interesting character in the show. It suggested considerable confidence, I thought, and they've mostly delivered in season two. I'm about six episodes in, and definitely looking forward to finishing the season.

We really got to know him better in season two.
I think this show is Emmy material.

(88 posts)We've watched Bloodline since it debuted last year. As a Floridian, I catch little bloopers, but I love the setting and it's always nice to see the Keys.
Sam Shepard didn't want to be on the show very long. He was happy to do just those several episodes in the first season, although he makes a couple of quick appearances this season.
Ben Mendelssohn may just be the best actor to come along in a very long time. He's riveting as Danny.
And now we know the whole family is completely and utterly effed up. And that's putting it gently.

(4,019 posts)I think Kyle Chandler is an outstanding actor! I was a little miffed that he didn't win the Emmy last year for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He lost to John Hamm. I see he is nominated again this year so I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Anybody know when there'll be new episodes? I discovered this show a couple of months ago and binge-watched. We vacation in the Keys, and I was about to strangle my husband--in just about every scene, he pokes me and says "we were there!"--and he doesn't even like the show!
