I'm baffled why SNL would cut their Obama AND Trump during an election year.

New impressions by other cast members (completely new cast members, in Obama's case) are just going to be compared negatively. Unless they're planning to be very specific and limited in the types of political sketches they do, and reason they can get by with the cast they have and any new Featured Players they've been auditioning, I just don't think this was a great decision.

The "Zero Fucks Given" sketches practically write themselves! lol

I guess I forget that there are not really that many weeks from the beginning of the season, in Sept/Oct, and Election Day. They probably are thinking they can just get away with HRC-related stuff with Kate McKinnon and some of the other Washington-character players.

I'm not one of those "SNL is so bad now" types, just to clarify. There's a lot of good and bad in every season I've ever seen, which is about 20 now.
