JFK was a cowboy in So. Az.

TUCSON - John F. Kennedy had ties to Southern Arizona before he was an elected official.

As a teenager, Jack and his older brother Joe spent six months at the J-6 ranch outside of Benson. Freelance historian and public speaker Jim Turner researched Kennedy's first paying job.

"He came to Arizona in the spring and summer of 1936. He had just been in London attending the London school of economics. "

Turner retired from the Arizona Historical Society. He goes on to say: "Jack was 17-years-old and got very sick while in England, probably pneumonia. His father had a journalist friend who knew John Spiden."
