Speeding Arizona GOP lawmaker Rep. Paul Mosley surrenders in court

State Rep. Paul Mosley, the Arizona lawmaker charged with excessive speeding, surrendered to authorities Thursday afternoon after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Mosley did not show up in court earlier this month when he was summoned on a charge stemming from an infamous traffic stop where he bragged about driving up to 120 mph.

That led a judge to issue a warrant for Mosley's arrest Sept. 6, which was widely reported this week.

On Thursday, Mosley, R-Lake Havasu City, appeared before the Parker Justice Court and pleaded not guilty to a Class 3 misdemeanor charge for speeding, court records show.

He was immediately released without bail; a follow-up court hearing was scheduled for Oct. 18.
