http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-12-13/san-francisco-housing-bubble-goes-subterranean-500month-live-crawlspaceAs the generous landlords explain...
With rent skyrocketing in San Francisco, desperate times call for desperate measures and we recently came up with the idea to rent our crawl space out to cash strapped young San Franciscans.
We aren't going to sugar coat this, as you can see by the photos, this is a basement crawl space and the ground is un-even. My roommate Neil has agreed to help out and level off the dirt crawl floor and we have some scraps of rug to throw down.

(14,449 posts)We need to get someone in the position who will do something about this. A liberal city is supposed to be affordable for all to live.

(15,729 posts)about "class warfare" in the United States. I believe that is the real battle that is in front of everyone that is not in the upper class. Back before all the little battles started, the race battles, the women rights battles, the pro-choice battles, the gay rights battles etc, the battles was about the poor, public health, public housing and education. I think the liberals got side tracked to small and divisive battles but really nothing in common. We managed to let the right divide the liberals into small groups, The old divide and conquer. I think it worked.

This is a joke post.
The SF affordability problem is not a joke. Too much money chasing a very limited amount of real estate.

(14,626 posts)but a doubt this rental is legal in California.
I doubt it passes most of the building codes for residential rental properties.
