I heard all this talk about Super Tuesday, and wondered if we were supposed to go vote today but the City of SF confirmed that Primaries are on June 7th, and he said mailer ballots would go out in May...That's good to know, this is one person who intends to vote Asap for our party candidate!

(36,440 posts)We won't even know the certified list of candidates until 31 March, which is also the deadline for selected presidential candidates to withdraw (I'm curious to see what names are NOT dropped).

(17,117 posts)There are moments of quiet reflection as I walk back, and it's sort of a custom of mine to celebrate my vote by stopping off at La Taqueria on Mission Street. That makes every voting night a winner. Talk about positive reinforcement!

(10,137 posts)California has open primaries for most offices, but this doesn't apply to the presidential candidates. Last time (or the time before last) the GOP let non-affiliated voters vote in their primary: are they doing this this year?

(10,137 posts)Registered voters not stating a party preference may request a June ballot for the Democratic, American Independent, or Libertarian party. No option to vote against Trump this time around.
