Very unlikely that the House will flip this year. That might not happen until 2022 after 2020 census tonyt53 Jul 2016 #5

Not rocket science. If the local candidate doesn't have a D by their name or the office is non-partisan, you can still Google the candidate's name along with the word Republican or Democrat; Hillary Clinton Democrat or Hillary Clinton Republican.

The results will almost always give you either a definite answer or align the candidate with other democratic or republican office holders. Then you know, which one to choose and to tell others to vote for, come November.

That one that I am aware of only because I am in Ohio and the ads are vicious.

We could take the seat back if Strickland can beat Portman.

BUT, the Senate is a different story. There are several vulnerable Republicans that can be beaten. IN will likely be the first to switch. Remember the Senate gives the nod to SCTOUS appointees.

8. Ca 49 Darrel Issa vs Dem Doug Applegate

Applegate has a really good chance to beat Issa, the richest and most loathsome Congressional Rep of all.
He's a retired Marine Corps Colonel; that really eats into Issa's Camp Pendleton base. Also Issa endorsed Trump early and emphatically, not the swiftest move in a district with substantial Hispanic registration.

Applegate's a lawyer and a very blunt, clear, liberal candidate. He's got a real chance to remove Issa from his rotting throne!
