(25,111 posts)Duncan Hunter is their representative. Hep A is a serious matter, and they are trying to greatly reduce the homeless community there. Unfortunately feeding, clothing, etc. the homeless is not allowed, since they voted on an ordinance back I believe in Nov. or Oct.
But alas, they can travel to Los Angeles. So besides the flu epidemic which has killed approx. 34 people, Hep A can also travel as well.
Anywho, my group still feed the homeless.

"City officials said the ordinance was a way to protect the public from hepatitis A, but critics have called it a punitive measure to dehumanize and criminalize the homeless."
It was absolutely necessary to break this law until they were willing to enforce it, and, now that they have, we will continue this fight in court, said another organizer"
