btw, NO CA employer should have the opportunity to discriminate against people looking for a job!

These are unusual times and they call for extreme understanding and common sense.

The bill is a breath of fresh air for those Californians who have been looking for work, but through no fault of their own have found themselves unemployed for long periods of time. There simply weren't any jobs.

Once again, California shows its understanding and true compassion for their residents against unscrupulous employers.

And you're right. As California goes, so goes the rest of the nation, so there's hope that unemployment will drop quickly across the nation and the bill becomes a national one to keep employers from discriminating against the people who have been unemployed much too long. There should be compassion and understanding, not discrimination in these unusual times.
