I didn't vote for House Representative, left it blank.

And I'm mad now.

I just voted in Los Angeles this afternoon and the district listed on my ballot is not the district that is listed as mine on the House of Representatives website, nor my old representative's website. I looked it up before voting to double check on the redistricting and if it had changed my rep. I asked the poll w0rker about the district number and that I didn't see mine on there, just one that wasn't my district and he said "it's a problem" and that's all. And I said so I shouldn't vote for it right? And he nodded. So I left it blank since I didn't want to invalidate my ballot in any way. (I live in an extremely liberal neighborhood and I don't think there was any malicoius intent, but he should have been able to inform me about the district number)

So I get home and it's bugging me. I start looking around some more and see that yes, I should have been able to vote for my district and start wondering if the House website could possibly have not been updated for the redistricting? I had also gone to a site specifically about the redistricting and the map they said was interactive didn't show the districts at all, just let search for your address like you can do on the google maps page. So I went to my old rep's page and he also has the old district map up which shows I'm in the same district number I was before, with him as my rep but he's not on the ballot.

Then I googled the candidate's name that's on the ballot and read about the new district that now encompasses various neighborhoods and one that was listed was mine!

Okay, so I should have known, but I did take steps to looks this stuff up and the official sites led me astray. I'm not too worried, my old rep would win with 87% of the vote and the Dem should handily win the election but
