Joe Kerr to Challenge Young Kim for CA-40
TheLiberalOCTheLiberalOC has learned that Joe Kerr has filed statement of organization papers with the Federal Election Commission to challenge Rep. Young Kim for CA-40. Kerr has previously run for OC Supervisor and State Senate.
It’s a tough district for a Democrat with an 11% Republican registration advantage but Joe Biden won this district by 2% in 2020. Kerr is a centrist Democrat who can raise money. If the 2024 election is a re-run of Biden vs Donald Trump (today found guilty of sexual assault against E. Jean Carroll), voter turnout will be high and Kim would have to ride the coattails of the Orange-hued flawed Republican candidate.
This is my district. Getting rid of Young Kim is essential.
