Insurance brokers conspiring to derail Covered California

Just a heads up California. A good friend had dinner the other night with a health insurance broker friend of his. The broker actually said that Covered California is too good... lol. That brokers are nervous they will lose clients. She said many brokers are making cold calls and talking to their clients driving fears that Obamacare will be a train wreck so do not enroll in the exchange.

This sounds unethical as hell to me.

If they know that Covered California is "too good," and will be a success, they should jump on board instead of trying to derail it. Plenty of people will need help navigating the insurance exchange and figuring out which plan is best for them. Also, I wonder what will happen when clients discover that their broker steered them wrong and talked them out of getting a better and cheaper plan through the exchange?

but I'm pretty sure Californians in general are too smart to be bamboozled.

Your profile says you're from SoCal, antiquie. Do you think Cover California could really be derailed?

I never implied anything close to that.
I mistook you for someone with a sense of humor.
