He is living in a motel room tonight and probably to a shelter later next week. I am in Ohio and trying to find him some help.
There has got to be someone here on D.U. that will help a fellow D.U.er from going to a shelter.
If I could come up with enough money to get him here I would at least offer him a warm bed and food and spare him a shelter. He was living with a teabagger in order to keep a roof over his head. He is desperate and in need of help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Although I have never met him....if I can find a way to get him here I would.
I know the feeling of losing a job after 31yrs and now working two jobs just to eat and have utilities.

Is he employed in Sac? I live 3 hours away from there in a town with few jobs.

9. Thank you for helping him. But was he feeling threatened enough to leave or is it about comfort?

Hesitantly, however, I need to say that "living with a teabagger" is not the worst thing that can befall a person.

If he felt threatened, physically, that's one thing.

But your description of his dilemma makes it sound like it was an intellectually or politically uncomfortable setting.

Maybe it's poorly described but if that's the only trouble then I'm not particularly sympathetic.

Sorry.

And I hate to sound cruel but my best male friend has come into my live, three decades and in different US states and I've always had to kick him out.

Love you, Tom!

If they kicked him out, it's a different matter from his needing to be clear of teabaggers, voluntarily.

Sacramento has a delightful hostel, centrally located. It costs 30 per night to sleep in a dorm room. Has cooking facilities. Has parking. Usually they have a 14 day limit. I've stayed there a few times. You also meet lots of people and make good contacts.

Years ago, my brother stayed in one in Ohio. He ended up working there for a year or so. It closed. It was in a rural bucolic setting.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]However, my personal resources are limited and suggestions from others I know in the city have all been for him to contact local social service organizations.

17. regarding his phone number

You know that we at DU have conservative stalkers who like to make trouble in the real world for people here. Maybe you could delete his phone number and you could be a go-between. People message you and then you call him?

Posting too much personal info here is not smart.
