The hardware store I work at in San Francisco needs a full-time person for the plumbing department.

I work in the plumbing department myself.

This is not a sit-around-the-pot-belly stove kind of hardware store.

We're a large independent store that's been here since 1961. There's so much work and sales business that we never get caught up. We're competing with the big-box stores.

Many customers, professional and home-owners, come in and need to be guided through their projects. Good plumbing trade skills are needed. Good customer service and sales skills are a requirement.

We run all day long, and often have people two and three deep waiting for help. It's a strenuous job. Organizational skills are a big plus.

I'm in my sixties, and I'm often running at top speed all day.

We have a diverse San Francisco customer base, from all corners of the planet. We have a full range of benefits. Applicants need to pass a drug test.

You can find the Craigslist ad here: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/ret/4761817737.html

And you can find the store's website here: http://www.discountbuilderssupplysf.com/ There's a Yelp link on the store's home page.

I'm not handling the hiring or interview; that's being conducted by the store's management. They will decide who does or doesn't get hired, with no input from me.

I'm just interested in helping to find a competent work-partner that's reliable and pleasant to work with. PM me if you have any questions.
