The town of Silverthorn, CO was forced to close its library this week...

...when this fella decided to take a nap in front of it:

It was reopened later in the day, with the moose still lounging there. They just asked people to let him be.

The moose often graces the town with his company. They think that a heating element under the sidewalk made him particularly comfortable in the spot.

But I suspect they were just being practical. I came into close proximity with a moose on canoing trips a couple of times when I was younger, and I know the drill. You do not fuck with a moose. You just don't.

Rolled over the hood, broke through the windshield and pooped in her lap.

That's actually not too bad considering that if often kills the people in the front seat.
