Sometimes boring can be good.

And really, it's not boring...just nothing to do but boat and bike and swim. Or ride your horses. No (very few) businesses are here. We had all of SEVEN crimes reported. It's like living in a Norman Rockwell painting. We've lived here for seven years and don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

My village is very quiet, but we get a higher crime rate due to the goofiness in Uncasville near the Casino.
