I live in Wilmington, Want to Help in Swing Districts nearby....

I and some friends would like to volunteer in swing districts, but are not sure which group/where to start.

I've heard of SwingLeft and Flippable, but is anyone else from Delaware working on any districts in New Jersey or PA?

Delaware is fairly safe (except local races downstate) so I usually volunteer in PA. South Jersey is pretty rural, so door-knocking would help me get my exercise

To organize mass ride sharing (no fee) to registered voters (Democrats) to the polls! Organize your own SUV's, rent buses, use your child carseat vehicles, to offer rides to the polls. He stated this would help immensely and do as much good as you possibly.could. Run it on an hourly basis and keep going till everyone has voted and is home safe. OMG, isn't he right, that would go so far for the cause. I also think it would be so rewarding. Bless.you for.offering to help. You are kind.

When I worked on previous campaigns, one question we always asked when we called (I did a lot of call centers via my union) was if the person had a way to get to the polls. I never was involved in the giving rides part, and I'm not sure how that worked. But I'll do whatever I can!

I think I'll look at the two groups I mentioned and see which districts need the most support/volunteers. One of my colleagues recently retired and is ready to work 24-7 to elect Democrats.

I also bought 100 "RESIST" stickers (one on both vehicles) and have been handing them out. I like being in Delaware---kind of safe (versus Alabama or something)--but close to needs.

I'm contributing recurring money to "Flippable," run by ActBlue. I didn't realize I had contributed in the past....but they are supporting a bunch of candidates around the country, including:

PASD6
PASD44
PASD12

...all near Philadelphia.

Through Swing Left, I'll be volunteering on the following campaigns (near my town):

NJ-02: In this open seat race, Democrat Jeff Van Drew is a state senator, dentist and local fire company volunteer, is taking on Republican attorney Seth Grossman, an anti-immigrant Trump supporter.

PA-06 Republican Greg McCauley a lawyer and NRA member, is looking to keep this seat red. But Democrat Chrissy Houlahan, an Air Force captain, teacher and engineer, could flip this critical seat, where Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump by 9.3%.
