I voted absentee in the DE Primary by email the other day.

I thought their instructions left *A LOT* to be desired. They listed 2 ways to email the ballots, and multiple ways to create the files, and one set of instructions said what to use as the "Subject", where the other one didn't say at thing about it.

I'm a web developer and have been in tech support for over 20 years. I received an email this morning saying my Ballot Pkg had come through OK, but my Voted Ballot file was unreadable. I was told to go back into the voting program and reauthorize/redownload my docs, take a screen print or pic of my voted ballot, and send them as attachments again before 8pm tonight.

I can't imagine my MIL or our elderly friend doing this and getting it right without additional support.

I would be very uncomfortable with doing it electronically. I trust the USPS more than going through a whole bunch of servers.

It's Delaware and Biden. Figured it was a pretty safe election to try it out on. Didn't want to try it on our School Referendum vote last month. Too many of my friend's jobs and kids special ed and extra programs relied on that. I think I'll do early absentee mail-in for the general. With the COVID cases on the rise, I'd rather steer clear of crowds (and possible voting machine hacks) in November.

will help voters navigate this kind of stuff. Personally, I would mail in a ballot, and then check to make sure it shows up as recieved.

There really is no foolproof voting system. I remember as a kid -- 1950/60s -- seeing reports of stuffed ballot boxes, "lost" boxes of ballots, etc.
