"Bodie's" campaign for senate claims Booth not eligible because he's a teacher.

You can't make this stuff up.

Bodenweiser runs for Senate seat
Georgetown Republican challenges Booth, again

Eric Bodenweiser
GEORGETOWN — A Georgetown 9-12 Patriot is challenging Sen. Joe Booth for the second consecutive election cycle. Eric Bodenweiser, 53, filed for the 19th District Senate seat May 23.

This will be Bodenweiser’s second primary against Booth, R-Georgetown. He lost the seat to Booth by a little more than 100 votes in a September 2010 primary election.

In October 2010, Booth took a job working for Sussex Technical High School, with a starting salary of nearly $60,000, plus $17,000 in benefits. Bodenweiser said in a press release if the news of Booth’s new position had been publicized before the primary, it would have turned the race in Bodenweiser’s favor. “That will be one of the biggest issues in the campaign,” he said.

Bodenweiser said Booth had the job lined up, but campaigned on a platform of being a small businessman. “That’s the definition of corruption,” he said.

If elected, Bodenweiser said he would sponsor a bill to keep legislators from double dipping, or taking state jobs while in office....

He says, "that is the definition of corruption"???

WTF? Eric Bodenweiser is a high school grad (barely) that worked for many years as a bellhop in Ocean City until his father, a successful Sussex county businessperson with a string of convenience stores, finally brought him into the business. He was relieved of his position after a few years and the business was sold.

As far as I know, that is the extent of his business experience. But the most important part of the campaign, as "Bodie" sees it, is the fact that a part time legislator is a teacher.

Over at the Sussex nutcase farm on delawarepolitics.net someone posted audio of him begging and at a Sussex County Council meeting that they restore Sheriff Christopher to the god-given power of an almighty sheriff.

Bodie is one of Delaware's leading loonies.

It was one of the most devastating political attacks I've ever seen. I think he's setting it up again.

He's posted most of the stuff about St. Bodie elsewhere.

The crazy lady running for Congress also has an interesting family background.

Vote Smart! Vote Joe Booth!!! I’m BACK and better prepared this time around.
Roy, my idiot brother is a circus act and I’m going to do my best to put down Backroom Bodie (what an insult to our father that he uses that moniker) with all that I have in my arsenal.

He does have his website up: http://www.bodenweiser.com/

As much as I 'm compelled to watch, my over-riding feeling is pity. (As long as they don't stand a chance of getting elected, that it.)

I'm trying to offer a service to the voters in the 19th guys! I may visit this place a few more time and see what happens. Don't care what you think of me although I'll probably answer most if not all questions as time allows. Don't pity me kristopher as I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I just let my brother possibly win against a man I know is much better in every way humanly possible. I've spoke with Joe Booth once about 2 years ago and without a doubt he's sane. My brother has issues.

But his antics in support of Sheriff Christopher's quest to become Delaware's Joe Arpaio have been amusing.
