CHERRY BLOSSOM WATCH!

Current Peak Bloom Forecasts
The National Park Service and Washington Post Capital Weather Gang have now both issued their first 2015 peak bloom forecasts.

National Park Service: April 11-14
Capital Weather Gang: April 9-13

Both predict a later-than-average peak bloom this year thanks to a cold February and March. It's not unusual for these early forecasts to be revised as we get closer to the date. I'll keep the peak bloom forecasts page updated with the latest forecasts.

And you can find recent photos of how the trees are looking in the updates below. For interesting comparisons, the March 19 update also includes links to photos taken on the same day in the previous three years.

David.

Cherry Blossom Watch Update: March 19, 2015
Wintry mix and even snow are forecast overnight, but it won't trouble the trees or change the existing peak bloom forecasts.
