P.M. Update: Very cold tonight ahead of a frozen Saturday, then a slight thaw for Sunday.

((P.S. SOME may recall the frigid temps on this date in 1985. Weather caused reagan's 2d inauguration to be held indoors. I happen to remember because I took a long walk (including across the Mall) as office closed and, P.P.S, gave birth the next day!!!))

'An epic cold wave gripped a good chunk of the eastern US. It was only 7 degrees at the time of the noon ceremony on January 21, 1985, with wind chills that had reached 20 below that morning, that motivated official to move the ceremony indoors to the Capitol Rotunda.Jan 18, 2021'
