More storms expected later today (Friday) in the DMV -- becoming numerous after 4 or 5p

(a few isolated cells have already formed). Flood watch until 11p as heavy downpours possible. Lightning, strong winds also hazards. When thunder roars, go indoors.

Out there right now. I feel sorry for the players at the Citi Open, where it’s probably 110 degrees on court, plus high humidity.

I went to the venue Weds. it was hot then but much worse since then.

I wish Mark Ein would use some of his wealth to upgrade the (public) facilities a little, eg, air condition and improve lighting in restrooms; paint the facility; add more food and drink options. Of course, he doesn’t have to, but it would be a nice donation to the city, the fans, and the kids who play there year round.
