The WWII era aircraft will launch from Culpeper Regional Airport and soar in formation down the Potomac River.
WASHINGTON — World War II era aircraft will soar above the Pentagon on Friday in honor of the nation’s veterans.
The Pentagon flyover is set for 12:30 p.m. ... The flyover will include 20 T-6 “Texans” and a B-25 Mitchell bomber.
They’re set to depart Culpeper Regional Airport and fly above the Potomac River. The route will take the planes over Manassas and Woodbridge in Virginia, Clinton and Oxon Hill in Maryland, Andrews Air Force Base, and then into the airspace above the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery.

Look up in the sky Friday afternoon and you might just see some vintage warplanes flying in honor of the nation’s disabled veterans.
The Potomac Flight involves 17 World War II aircraft flying from Culpeper Regional Airport, along the Potomac River and over the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery. The flight, in its second year, is expected to be over the Pentagon around 12:30 p.m. But organizers say to be on the lookout for the aircraft between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
