Good news! Orange County Public Schools lost an RTTT grant application!

Last edited Sat Jan 4, 2014, 08:48 AM - Edit history (1)

I do not have a link but I just received an email from our CTA chief!

I want nothing to do with the Obama/Duncan/Rick Scott education initiatives. The OCPS School Board wanted the money and I applaud our union for not supporting their application. The members of the Board are the highest paid in the state but they have become openly hostile to poorly paid OCPS teachers by failing to negotiate much needed salary increases. I hope the citizens of Orange County pay attention and vote out all Board members up for reelcfion this year!

improve education through teacher training and evaluation. From what I've seen it just results in more useless district level bureaucrats who justify their jobs with stupid meetings, demands, programs, and initiatives. That money never gets to the front lines of education. One of Obama's worst policies by his worst cabinet secretary (who was never in education)
