Immediate Action Required to Protect HOA Owners

(I am not affiliated with this blog. I just found is immensely informative.)

Florida's legislators aren't going to wait for the Supreme Court to rule in the Lakeview Reserve Homeowners v. Marondo Homes, Inc., case. Yesterday SB 1196 was removed from the Budget Committee and could be heard by the full Senate this week. The companion bill already passed in the House of Representatives.

We discussed the potential negative impact of this bill in SB 1196 lets Developers off the Hook for Shoddy Construction.

If this bill passes, HOA owners will have no recourse against developers for construction defect warranty claims associated with the common areas in the community. Today CALL asked its members to write their local State Senator urging them to vote NO on SB 1196
