There are about 424,000 more minority voters on the voter rolls in Florida relative to 2010. http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/the-buzz-florida-politics/by-the-numbers-floridas-pool-of-voters-approaches-12-million/2203553 .

In addition, Democrats are doing substantially better with early voting than they did in 2010. http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/the-buzz-florida-politics/gop-vote-lead-over-dems-in-fla-stays-fairly-static/2204413

I think Crist will win 50-47 but you never know.

to vote Democratic, even changed some people's minds. Especially after last debate. Made sure my family got their absentee ballots and made sure they got in the mail too because I put the stamp on them.

Only made one HUGE miscalculation and it kind of threw me for a loop. Got my grand daughter to register for the first time, was too late for her to get an absentee so have been checking with her everyday asking if she voted. She had been dating a guy who was a gung-ho cowboy type, they broke up, but then she started dating another guy. Wasn't fond of the first guy, always flapping his mouth sounding off about black people etc., and crap against the government. He broke up with her, it was hard for her. The new guy is really nice, friendly and his family has LOTS of money. They have an insurance company and he works for them. She isn't that crazy about him but he's spent lots of money on her and is crazy about her. He and his family are dyed in the wool Repukes. He's 21, she's 19 but I do like him, we just differ about politics. He DIDN'T register to vote so wasn't going to suggest it.

A couple of weeks ago, old guy comes back into picture... her first love so she's seeing both. He's not registered either, but must have talked her into voting for Scott because he knows I've been checking with her to vote.

Texted her again today telling her time is getting short and she tells YES, she's going to vote at the mall, BUT not going to vote how I would like her to. Really told her it was IMPORTANT to look at facts and not just vote for someone because of someone she's dating. Told her to check Scott's record and look at facts and do some comparison. She didn't text back, so guess I lost her! And we've always been very, very close! I did my best, not sure if she voted today or not, but since I haven't heard anything back I suppose she did.

Her brother, my daughter and her husband did vote for Crist... they told me. And my son and his wife too. Plus, lots of other people who I pushed to get registered because I knew their views. They checked in with a thumb up!

Can't say I'm not depressed, but wish I hadn't pushed her to register now. Will be glad when this is over, my nerves are a mess!

voting on Tuesday. I do that just because I can.

We do have to turn that alien, geek lizard out.

weird thing just happened a moment or two ago. I got a call reminding me to vote for Crist but the guy had my polling place wrong.

I told him so and he said, "well this is direct from the supervisor of elections". I assured him I would vote for Charlie then I checked the super of elections website and my polling place has not changed.

Called the number back and got a recorded message and left another voice mail.

Lines were long in Port St Lucie, but well worth it. I wasn't sure I could make it to the polls on Tuesday, so I voted early. Lots of Murphy supporters before we got in line (outside the building). Not sure if anyone else has seen Carl Domino's ads in this area, but all he can say is negative. He has nothing positive to say at all.

Oh and the Rudy Guiliani ad is horrible.
