(6,568 posts)Nothing better than a Publix sub. Hell, Publix is the only place I go for groceries. Happy, helpful employees, and for some (lucky) reason the WalMart regulars haven't discovered that their prices are about the same (and that Publix has sales that KILL any savings you get from WalMart).

(6,568 posts)About 5 years before they shut my store down. Our store was tiny (Melbourne, FL), but I trained in the Palm Beach Gardens store, and helped open the Bayhill (Orlando) store. I was going to transfer, but my wife and I had just moved into a new house, and my daughter and her mother lived in Melbourne, and I didn't want the hassle of the space between us to interfere with getting to see her (which is good, because her mother moved to Ohio last year, and now my daughter lives with me).

(2,586 posts)They make pretty mean sandwhiches. My friend who moved from Florida to New Jersey wishes that they had a Publix in NJ.
