My A/C hasn't slowed down any! South of Sarasota, but close to Gulf. I can see clouds coming from east, but many times it just goes around us. Old Indian belief as to why they settled here. There's the Gulf and then the Intra-Coastal waterway and there's something about this situation that causes this.

I've lived here for a very long time and do have to say there MUST be something to this belief. I've seen it raining right up the road on 41 and not a drop here. HOWEVER, I will admit that this year COULD be a bad one for Florida! Up until recently I've not uttered the word hurricane, but it's been way too long and I'm beginning to think our luck is running out. It's been since 2005, and we had those FIVE in a row!!

Signed a contract & think our 5 acres of land has been sold and the first thing we're doing is getting NEW hurricane windows. My house was built in '74, but has been strong & sturdy. Moved here in '85 but have a hinky feeling this year! The last one that hit Sarasota was in 1927, but don't know about where I live, not quite into Venice!

Sure would like some cooler weather, had to put A/C on earlier than ever before this year!

It's still raining, though not as hard and the temp is around 70. It's nice for a change even with the rain.

We've been getting evening T-Storms for the past week. It's that time of year. At least it cools things off, and we need the rain.
