How valid is this article? Florida Homeowners are Switching to Solar at No Cost. Heres How

Installing solar panels can cost the average Florida homeowner $35,000, making it too expensive for most homeowners to go solar. The good news is that a new state-funded initiative wants to change that. This new program aims to help Middle-Class homeowners make the switch to solar at no upfront cost through rebates and incentives.

Funded by the state of Florida as well as private non-profits to promote alternative energy, the Florida Solar Initiative’s directive is to get solar panels installed on the roofs of those who cannot afford the high upfront costs. This program will use the rebates and incentives set aside from the federal and state government as well as money raised by private companies who want to lower our carbon footprint.

Through this program, homeowners receive solar panels, full professional installation and a dramatically reduced (if not completely eliminated) electric bill with no out of pocket expense. According to initial reports, this program is saving Florida homeowners an average of up to $1,716 per year.* Finally a real stimulus Middle-Class homeowners have needed for years!

The Florida Solar Initiative, who oversees the distribution of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), is the country’s first dedicated solar advocate. Their goal is to install solar panels for 25,000 homeowners in Florida by the end of 2016. As of November 25, 2016, they have already filled over 70% of this quota and could run out as early as this month. If you’re interested in this program, you need to act now.

When I clicked your link, it was the same piece, except "Florida" was substituted with "North Carolina" throughout.
