WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Winter Park Police Department posted a video recently on their Facebook page to bring attention to home burglaries happening in the community.

The caption of the video said, " The video is comedic in nature... but there is a very important message."

The police department said multiple measures people can take to decrease their chances of being victim to a home burglary. Some examples they explain are, advancements, improvements and cost reductions through technology, such as audible alarms or motion-activated home security cameras.

According to the caption, many statistics show that burglars are less likely to attempt to break into a home when a home security system installed.
