Power outage brings voting to halt at Hillsborough elections office

TAMPA --
A power outage has brought voting to a halt at a Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections office.

The partial power outage was reported shortly before 4 p.m. at the Robert L. Gilder Elections Service Center, located on Falkenburg Road in Tampa.

Voters are no longer being allowed inside the building. Officials said the darkness poses a safety hazard to people going inside.

The voters who were already in line have been given placeholders.

Poll watchers said that if the power outage goes on too long, it could lead to legal issues.

TECO said 600 customers are without power in the area, but they are not sure what caused the outage.

I have never seen such a corrupt asshole like I see in Rick Scott. And let me guess, Hillsborough county is predominantly dem, right?

Our power goes out so often it is ridiculous. It even happens on perfectly clear days with no wind.

voting as opposed to suppressing the vote. Whether the outage was chance or planned, I'm sure the repubs are all giddy that there is one more obstacle to help out scumney.

Does anyone know what Scott is going to get out of this? What has he been promised? Would be really interesting to know because he has been working diligently to restrict the vote for a lot of dems.
