Gov. Bruce "Ruiner" Rauner suffers another setback in push for right-to-work-for-less!

http://www.nwherald.com/2016/04/20/mchenry-county-settles-union-lawsuit-over-turnaround-agenda-vote-for-25k/ag68xtl/

...McHenry County was the only county in the state to adopt the agenda, which he said appears to have become an afterthought, even for Rauner.

The union filed the lawsuit April 17, about a week after the County Board voted to approve a resolution backing Rauner’s agenda to reverse Illinois’ economic straits. Among other measures, the Turnaround Agenda sought to limit collective bargaining laws.

Local 150 alleged that enough board members attended an April 8, 2015, event with Rauner at the Woodstock Opera House to constitute an open meeting under state law, which requires 48 hours advance public notice. The lawsuit alleges that no such notice was given, and contends that union members were illegally barred from attending the event.

The County Board voted the next day, 16-5, to approve the nonbinding resolution after 90 minutes of opposition during public comment from a standing room-only audience of union members.

governor of our state. It was obvious from his record in business even before the the election that he was not fit to govern. Just another rich greedy scum sucking republican that can never get enough for himself or his cronies.

And there is this little gem shortly after he took office.

"Illinois' new GOP Governor, Bruce Rauner, will personally receive a $750,000 per year tax cut as a result of his decision not to continue the state's temporary 1.25% income tax surcharge that expired last year."

This in a state that already has financial woes. Typical republican fare. They will make up the shortfalls with cutting services for those who need them most. Greedy pig!

9. that doesn't include talk radio worth at least $5MIL/MO FREE in IL

this is something dems and the left have to start figuring into how republicans can win so much and why the country looks so far right. this is what unions are up against. and it is why these 90 universities are better places to protest anything republican than capitols.

at a cheap $1000/hr x 15hrs/day x 1200 stations, rw talk radio is worth 4.68 BIL$/ year or 390MIL$ /month FREE for coordinated pro republican wall st think tank propaganda, hate, and swiftboating all over the US

the 18 limbaugh stations in IL worth more than $70.2MIL/year or $5.85 MIL/mo FREE and there are probably that many agin that are not limbaugh but are pro rauner and "right to work".

that right to work crap is all over rw radio whenever it comes up in state legislation - just like voter suppression and sexual discrimination, etc.

the university of illinois broadcasts on 7 of the 18 limbaugh stations in ill

so that is $27.3mil/yr endorsed by the fighting illini

that should not be acceptable and make the university of illinois the most effective place to protest rauner and republican bullshit in the state

once the community discussion starts as to why the uni supports politicians that deny global warming and want to defund public ed and try to make racism acceptable, advertisers will flee those stations. the gop will freak out because whatever happens, it is a direct threat to their messaging superiority and ability to manage and intimidate local media and politicians.

4. Ruiner has to go!!!

I agree, this guy is so corrupt it's unbelievable!! Union busting, taking away education money to pay for other stuff that's not needed. He refuses to increase taxes on the wealthy like himself, and then take those monies to pay down the debt. I bet you didnnt know that about 40% of the companies in Illinois pay little or no state taxes. That's a ploy to keep them from moving out of state. I'm not much for the Dems in the state capital but I just hope they keep fighting this asshole to get him out!! The reason, to answer your question on how he was elected, is simple--- NOT ENOUGH DEMS SHOWED UP TO VOTE!! AFTER QUINN THERE WAS A BAD TASTE IN THE MOUTHS OF DEMS AND THEY REFUSED TO GO TO THE POLLS AND VOTE. They also were misinformed by Ruiner's campaign people. It's important this time to vote back in those Dems up and down the Democratic ticket come November. I support Bernie but he's fading fast and no matter what, I WILL VOTE FOR HILLARY!!!

infomercial time on 7 limbaugh stations

as i point out above

best way to hurt rauner and ILL GOP is to protest the university

without RW radio they have nothing - it is their major advantage, and its unchallenged

he and his buddy Rahm Emanuel. I guess when people fight so hard for one candidate they give up and not vote for the winner. We just can't continue to do that. I voted for Sanders in the primary, but no matter who I will vote blue!

14. Quinn: best governor (not saying much) in my time in Illinois; worst campaigner.
Thu Apr 21, 2016, 10:54 AM

Of the states that have a state income tax, where did you suppose Illinois ranked prior to Quinn's increase?

Drop. Dead. Lowest.

For decades we had the lowest of those state income taxes. Even when it was raised to 5%, we were still well below the national average.

How many times did we hear Quinn, any other Democrat or the media recite this fact? As I recall the exact number was zero.

Remember Wisconsin governor barnstorming the area saying he would steal business from us? Wisconsin's state income tax was still higher than Illinois'! Again, nobody pointed this out.

Sometime after the tax had fallen off the news cycle, I asked one of the biggest complainers I knew about it. He asked, "when is it going to begin?"

I replied, "it started two months ago. And you didn't even notice."

Just as nobody noticed when it dropped down to 3.75%. And nobody noticed when the Chicago sales tax decreased by a fraction of a percent last year.

There is such a huge disconnect between reality and perception when it comes to taxes. And Democrats absolutely get the raw end on the perception side.
