all are members of the GOP. And with the exception of Roskam, all are in generally safe GOP districts. LaHood got his seat from his father, Ray LaHood.

Bost and Davis are in districts with an even PVI.

Hultgren is R+5 and Kinzinger is R+4

With the right candidates they can be competitive. Have we gotten challengers there yet?

He has a viable Dem opponent this go round. His base is old and white (when he beat Manzullo, all we got was a younger version of Manzullo). His base is dying off and his district is not lilly white. His opponent will draw the Latino vote. Her challenge will be getting the Millennials/Gen-Xs to the polls. If she's smart, she'll connect up with mayor of Rockford's campaign folks. The tide is starting to turn in that area. Still a ways to go but at least moving in the right direction. My hope is the male-pale-and-stale era is coming to an end (no offense meant to those on this forum).
