And I get two smaller birds about the same size. I think they stay more moist. Happy Turkey Day!

7 lbs min too big so freeze 1/2, make 1/2.

there is usually at least one meat purveyor, and they always have turkeys this time of year.
paulina market is one place that gets good turkeys, but the live poultry places are usually good, too.
we will order our this week. i will try to remember to post the info.

i think the backyard poultry trend has helped them out, as most will butcher any chicken you bring them.
there is one at about lawrence and california, and one on western and devon.
i think there are some in pilsen, but don't know any in particular.
