Belvidere Resident Asked To Take His Trump Sign Down

Belvidere (WREX) A Belvidere resident says he was asked to remove a Trump sign he had in his lawn, with the city telling him it violated an ordinance because of its size.

Michael Kertz says he feels targeted because the sign supports President Donald Trump.

"I received a notice in the mail saying I needed to take down a military display of flags due to the fact that I have signs in my front yard supporting president Trump," said Kertz.

But the city says they aren't targeting Kertz because of what the sign says.

This part of Illinois is quite red. The poor little snowflake can snivel and whine all he wants. He has turned his yard into an ugly mess. Boo! Hoo!

honor men who died in the military, including his son. I still can't figure out which one is the flag honoring the military people.

I think the whole thing is an excuse to be an asshole. There are other, better ways to honor fallen military people.

I had to answer you on my phone. My computer froze.

However he called them all military flags. Don't tread on me is not. I can't figure out the one on the left and right. I tried to expand the image. Nada.

Obviously he is just a racist POS.

Thanks, Muriel.

Thrown up during the boom by a builder who is long out of business.

The area is red, for now. There are a lot of Hispanics that if not eligible to vote, will be soon. The number of farmers are dying off. Don't get me started why farmers continue to vote for republicans. There are no Republicans left, that ship sailed a long time ago. Only thing left are republicans who care not one hoot about farmers. Or anyone else that actually works for a living.

Yes, the Hispanics are waking up to the power they have. And they have plenty of reasons to be angry. I see more Hispanics in Whiteside County participating in politics.

Not all farmers are republicans. We are farmers. We have a number of smart, articulate farmers involved with the local Democrats here in Ogle County.

It took my Grandpa far too many years - he could never answer me as to why he voted for Reagan when Reagan was anti-union. Grandpa farmed and worked a factory job for years. Bush II was the final straw for him - he finally realized what passed for the republican party didn't give a rat's butt about farmers.

From some farmers in Winnebago County, I'm hearing that they are seeing how much money they are losing. And that they won't vote for Trump. I doubt any of them will vote for for a Democrat. But things being what they are, that is fine by me. I have no sympathy for people who vote against their own best interest.
