So I called the local station that carries limbaugh on Friday...

I was at work so I was unable to watch the Iowa basketball game (maybe that was a good thing) so I called QC Radio group to ask them what station in their building was carrying the Hawkeye game. The guy replied , "I believe that's WOC ." I replied, "Man that's too bad. I really don't like that station." The guy asked why and I told him, "Because as long as they carry limbaugh, I just can't listen to anything they carry." The guy said he'd pass that along to the right people and blah blah blah.
Anyway, I managed to pull in an FM station and listened to as much as I could stand, as well as sometimes following on the computer when I had time. But I told that guy I would not listen to WOC as long as they carried limbaugh, and I meant it. I hope you all out there in DU land take a similar stand against your local stations that carry him. He can be taken down, but it is going to take a lot of grassroots pressure.

Good work and something all radio listeners should do. Thanks for being proactive. freshwest Mar 2012 #3
even if we aren't radio listeners, we need to call the stations that carry Blimpbag and complain. lastlib Mar 2012 #4
Sounds good, although listeners can reference him as the OP did, to make sure they ALL know why. freshwest Mar 2012 #5

Each person taking their opinion to local stations, businesses, etc., who have their radios tuned to this vileness, including faux news on your local businesses tv's. It cant hurt to try.

If I'd called and said I won't listen to them without any details, they wouldn't care as much as hearing it from their consumer base.

The OP states a specific case, and this will go back to not only the station owners and the advertisers, but those who put, for example, the sporting event on the air. The universities, industries and the military need to stop supporting this ________.

Everyone can do it.

I am not sure of the exact times, but I do know it's at a place on 2nd street in Davenport. I will keep in touch when I learn more.
