Talked to a strong Dem this weekend in CR

I was sad about Ernst...and she said, "Well at least we have elected our first woman to national office" .

I'm sorry, I can't take her as a good example of this.

Am I being petty? She is a disaster in the making and may harm the chances of any other woman being elected due to being a nut job.

But was looking for some bit of good in the outcome.

I think she's delusional, but I can see the point in looking for an upside to even a disaster. I just can't see this debacle in the making as having an upside.

and that can't be good.

It may not last too long, though. Both have an ego the size of a boxcar.

But, I was shocked when she said that. Literally, speechless, mouth hanging open shocked.

I politely disagreed and left.

any woman will do. I really think that's why they picked Palin. Don't have to be smart just look pretty and follow orders. It's insulting.
