Clarinda and Mount Pleasant Mental Health Institutes Closing end of June.

(Clarinda) -- More details have emerged about the changes about to take place at the Clarinda and Mount Pleasant MHI by the end of June.

Yesterday in his proposed budget, Iowa Governor Terry Branstad did not allow for dollars to be spent in fiscal year 2016 for either facility.

KMA spoke Wednesday afternoon with Iowa Department of Human Services Public Information Officer Amy Mccoy. McCoy says the meetings held in both Clarinda and Mount Pleasant were very difficult for all involved.

Branstad talks job growth on Tuesday and today............ Hell just ship them folks off to India or China. They can do that mental health stuff way cheaper than we can. Right??? Lets send all the people in nursing homes over there too. Their families can just see them on that Skype thing on the internet. That's good enough for them. Right??? Save tons of tax money. Branstad is one job creating SOB.
