Cedar Rapids airport adding two flights, Senator Lawnmower had to pipe up on it.

I guess this is good news for people using CID. Of course Senator Lawnmower had to throw in his two cents on this;

Starting November 4, the airport will offer two non-stop flights daily to Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina. It will be an American Airlines flight. The airport says this will allow eastern Iowans more access to international travel.

Senator Chuck Grassley says this is a good addition for the airport.

"This sort of service and expanded service is very important for a lot of people. But I'll tell ya, for a person that wants to come home from Washington every weekend, like I do, because Washington is an island surrounded by reality and you gotta get out here in the real world, announcements like this are a God send," Grassley said.

The only island in the ocean of reality here is a certain Senator from Iowa.

Shut the fuck up Chuck.

It's nice but the only place American goes to or from DBQ is ORD.

Hopefully with our new terminal we'll get some more places to fly to directly from DBQ. And some more airlines too.
