Hogan to host daughter's wedding at governor's mansion

Gov. Larry Hogan's daughter, Julie Kim, will get married at the governor's mansion this weekend.

The 150-guest affair on Saturday afternoon will be the first wedding at Government House in 14 years.

Julie Kim, 30, met her fiance, Taesoo Kim, 31, while both were traveling in Japan. Both are graduates of the University of Michigan, Hogan spokesman Doug Mayer said. The couple shares a common Korean surname.

The governor will walk Julie Kim down the aisle. The father-daughter dance will be to the Tim McGraw song "Live Like You Were Dying," which became a favorite of the governor's during his battle with cancer.

Any chance that Hogan can get some advice from the former governor of Virginia on how to get some of the wedding expenses paid?

A wedding at the Virginia governers mansion and at first they told me I could not go to the wedding because my hair was purple, than they bitched about my tattoos than the pierces ,I showed up as I am . but was forced to wear a damn dress. Still had female name.... Anyway all the servers were black people wearing white gloves it felt like I fell back in time to before the civil war and it was disturbing to say the least I never want to go to that place again.food was good. But that was about it. I felt the place was incredibly pretentious.
And I found the affair kinda sexist and boring. Most fancy events I find myself stuck in tend to be rather boring if rich people are involved.
