FYI - It's going to get cold quick! Check your power strips. Do you have a space heater plugged in

it? If so, UNPLUG IT and move it to a wall outlet.
Many winter house fires are caused by SPACE HEATERS plugged into a power strip - This included fake fireplaces with built in space heaters. Power strips can get overloaded fast. They fail and burn very easily - Don’t take a chance.

If you simply must use an extension cord, get a heavy-duty three-plug (grounded) one approved for the amperage of your heater. Most local fire departments can advise you if you are unsure, but certainly any you'd use should be minimally approved to handle your heater.

And don't-- for the love of DOG, leave them plugged in when you are not home!

When I woke up this morning the temperature was -9 with windchill nearing -40. Blizzard conditions north of where I live. Forecast is for somewhat warmer temperatures by Christmas Day. Why do I live in the Midwest?

Been raining all day long, but in the 50's....think that will change soon.

Happy to say that my solar power backup licked in and I still have the furnace, water pump, fridge, and some lighting/internet still going.
