Hogan backed down.

e.mail:

The Baltimore Sun reports that Governor Hogan “insists” he isn’t going to cut education. It’s a big win for students, teachers and middle class families – and it wouldn’t have happened without your help.

Hogan cut education by tens of millions of dollars last year. General Assembly Democrats restored the funds without raising fees or taxes. The Governor sat on the money, even though he was prohibited by law from spending it on anything else.

People around the state cried foul. They signed petitions, sent emails, and made their voices heard. Editorial boards condemned the Governor’s inaction. Thanks to people like you, Hogan got the message: Public education comes first in Maryland.

Can you chip in $10 or $20 so the Maryland Democratic Party can keep holding Larry Hogan accountable during this year’s legislative session?

It’s great to watch the Governor back down on the first day of session. With your help, we’ll keep holding him accountable in 2016.
